From around 1966 to the early 70's, this was the place to go to listen to and see great performers. Bands like the "Who", "Jimi Hendrix", Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker and the list goes on. Unlike concerts today that charge out rages entry fees, it would cost you $3.00. Sometimes there were multiple quality bands on the venue. Of course if you didn't have the money, slipping the gate keeper a joint would get you in. I wanted to paint it as it was in it's heyday but could find no person or photo. Friend of mine snuck in and photographed it as it is now. DEMOLITION BY NEGLECT!
