Marlot Marlot is close to where I live. On my morning walks I can choose between the Haagse Bos or Estate ‘Oosterbeek’ farther away. Up north there Park Marlot I have sketched a couple of times. There is also the residential area with villas and big semidetached mansions. On my way back I saw this incredible lane with a sun bursting through the dense tree branches. Its light was scattered all around and instantly inspired be artistically, so I took a photo. You might think an artist like me always has a sketchbook at close range. You also might have the presumption he is quick enough to create a work of art on the spot. Well, sometimes I do but nowadays everybody has a smartphone. I felt grateful to be able to acknowledge and capture this moment of beauty. These moments of wandering beauty pass by too quickly anyway.
