Solarized This graphite pencil drawing ‘Roundism – 27-04-20’ is the next drawing in my solarized roundism series. Certainly does it form a transition from my previous abstracted cubist geometry towards a crossover of realism and surrealism. Like in the previous one Clara 24-04-20 I inverted some of the tonal values. In other parts they are kept realistic. The overall body shape is according to my roundism principles. That style obviously was the first weapon of choice and the combination with solarization came naturally. The result is a kind of oily feel caused by a careful selection of harsh tonal transitions. Combining with very soft ones made them less rigid. Eventually I started to like it. The appearance of her and the tonal harmony of the sheets altogether turned out to be just fine. Grease her up! The model is my regular model of Indian descendance. Her body is perfect for smooth tonal transitions. In the past I asked her to oil her body in order. That way I got f
