A Special Treat This graphite pencil drawing ‘The Venus of the Hague – 07-06-20 (Sold)’ is something different I was bound to create. You see, today’s my birthday and I thought I’d offer you a special treat. Last variation was abstracted to the point I did not want to go any futher, I decided to do this realistically. It reminds me to Malevic who couldn’t abstract any further beyond his black and white squares. Surely I’m not that far in the abstractional process as he was and I certainly never will. The only way is up again and go bonckers this time. Didn’t Dali once said something similar? That the only way is to return to realism eventually? All the Right Persons And so it happened again. All of a sudden I saw the scenery of ‘Le Déjeuner sur l’Herbe’ in front of me and in stead of the bathing woman I saw Batseba (Hendrickje Stoffels by Rembrandt.
