This was towards the end of my first relationship. Where I felt the darkness I was creating for myself was no longer serving me. I felt empty and I wanted to leave. But I was scared. I was scared to leave all that I thought I knew. I was scared to take my power. I was scared of not having money. I was scared of being alone. All of these fears embody this painting. But those bones are hallow. Like those fears. The only one who's giving them any truth is me. So if I have the power to create them, to validate them, then I have the power to dissolve them. Now the little horned guy is my friend. He gave me the gift of contrast. Only by illuminating what I don't want, can I see what I do want.
