I paint the canvas white and then dry brushed black around the middle of the canvas to create the grey effect. Using tape, I created imperfect rectangles to close off each one and painted these in several different colors from left to right; green, crimson red and purple, light blue and violet, burnt umber and yellow, orange and purple, dark blue, purple and violet. I followed up with white and zinc grey paint throwing designs all around the canvas.
